What happens after I register?

After we receive the online registrations we get to work reviewing and organizing your retreat choices to make sure no information is missing. You will receive a phone call to go over and discuss your weekend and menu options within 5 business days.

Our Full Retreat Experience Packages, can be mailed or emailed to you and come complete with your personal weekend schedules, menus, and a check lists of essentials that you will need to pack for the weekend to make your stay as enjoyable as possible.

How long is the retreat?

The retreat operates only the last weekend of July. This year's dates are July 26,27,28 2024.

Where to go- Location: On Friday come to Rossport Hall. We will have a big sign so you don’t miss it!

The retreat ends at 4:30 on Sunday.

I will be travelling on my own is the retreat suitable for me?

The majority of our guests travel solo, so you will certainly be in good company and make new friends!

Are couples welcome?

Yes, we are very happy to welcome couples at all of our retreats.

How many guests will be in each workshop?

We do not want to over-crowd or overwhelm anyone, so we keep our workshops to a maximum number of 10 participants in each workshop.

How many guests will be in each tour / activity?

Each activity is different when deciding what max capacity is but we try to keep groups at a manageable number of 10 participants.

Can beginners attend the retreat?

Beginners are super welcome to attend and we will cheer you on! Our workshop leaders & instructors provide support & encouragement to learn.

Do I need to be an experienced artist?

If you have any doubts please don’t hesitate to contact us, we will be delighted to answer your questions & offer advice if you are unsure if a particular retreat program is suitable for you.

This retreat has been designed to accommodate a mix of creative experience & fitness levels, including complete beginners. This is one of the reasons that we limit our retreat workshops to a maximum of 10 participants, as we want to be able to offer individual & personal attention to each & every guest.

What should I pack for my retreat?

We suggest comfortable clothing for indoor and outdoor activities.
It may be summer but the weather and temperatures change each day and get cooler at night or out on the lake if you choose to go on our fishing charter. Pack a sweeter for evenings. Don't forget sunblock and a hat for sun protection during the day! A good pair od running shoes too.

Do I need to bring my own art materials?

No. Never! All materials are provided for you to create works of art in each workshop. You will be bringing home everything you create!

What food will be provided at the retreat?

Friday - Light Snacks for our Meet & Greet

Saturday - Deluxe Continental Breakfast, Lunch, and a 4-course Chef Prepared Dinner

Sunday - Deluxe Continental Breakfast and Lunch.

All will be provided at the Rossport Hall.

Can you cater for dietary requirements?

We cater to specific nutritional, and dietary requirements, allergies, and intolerance.

Menu options for vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free are always available.

Are non-participating partners welcome?

Yes. Additional charges apply if your travel partner plans to attend our Breakfast, Lunches and Dinner.

What does the Shuttle Bus include? How far will it travel to pick us up and drop us off?

We provide Shuttle Services for retreat participants staying in Pays Plat, Schreiber, and Terrace Bay, with campgrounds along the route included.

The shuttle runs daily during the Summer Arts Retreat weekend, offering pick-up and drop-off services at specified times in the mornings and evenings.

If you may need to commute back and forth throughout the day, we've got you covered! Additional shuttle trips are available starting at $20 / 4 trips.

This service is accessible upon registration for the Summer Arts Retreat. Just check the box for shuttle service.

The pick-up and drop-off spots and times will be posted on Facebook and provided in your weekend schedules!

(Over Night Stays) Is my room included in the ticket price?

Overnight stays are NOT included with the ticket price.

Participants are responsible for booking their B&B, Inn, Campsite or other overnight stay accommodations – make sure that you confirm a place to stay before coming to the retreat.

Can I set up a tent in Rossport / Nicol Island?

No- We do not want anyone setting up tents/camping in the village of Rossport or on Nicol Island - please make sure you have a suitable and confirmed campground location before coming to the retreat.

What if I have an injury, can I still attend?

Providing your Doctor/Medical Specialist approves then yes you may attend the retreat. Inform us, in advance, of any medical or general health issues that may affect your time at the retreat so that we can make any adjustments required for your experience. If you would like to discuss this further please contact us.

Who teaches the sessions at the retreat?

What if I have to cancel, do you give refunds?

We hope that cancellations do not happen but sometimes they do.

· Yes- We do offer refunds for cancellations on or before July 10th, 2023– there will be an 80% refund.
-
For cancellations after July 10th, 2023 there will be no refund.

For unforeseen circumstances a refund is at the discretion of the event coordinator - please call 1-249-991-0057, ask for Tracy.

· For cancellations by the Event Coordinator & The Nest Studio, there will be a 100% reimbursement

Who can book a private retreat?

We are not offering private retreats as of yet. Maybe in the future.
